On 5 September 2026, 18-year-old Kennett suffered a serious spinal cord injury in a swimming pool accident.

In an instant, everything changed.

Kennett is now a quadriplegic and remains in hospital receiving intensive medical care, with a long and uncertain road ahead.

Kennett's mum, Cielo, is a single mum and is unable to work due to her own circumstances, which is expected to be permanent. She is standing by her son's side throughout his heartbreaking time.

The road ahead will involve extensive rehabilitation, specialised treatment, medical equipment, transportation, accommodation and other essential needs connected to Kennett's recovery.
